Hi friend,

I hit 100k followers on LinkedIn.

This happened while I was away vacationing in Japan for the past two weeks.

It's a bitter-sweet feeling.

On one hand, I only like a handful of "big" influencers and instead enjoy content from those with a smaller audience.

On another, my heart is so full of gratitude for those who choose to devote a fraction of their finite time to my content.

In terms of how this helps me, here's how I see it:

Subtle marketing: I still don't use LinkedIn for 'work' (to sell any products, and I rarely talk about my writing course). But once in a while, when I share anything around it, it creates ripples and has attracted happy students.
Brand collaborations: I've declined $1211 worth 'easy money' so far that I'd get from one LinkedIn post that takes me under 30min to type. I'll continue to decline what doesn't resonate with me. But I hope to get better brands at a better fee hereon.
Opportunities: LinkedIn is still a powerhouse of opportunities. Whether you want to pursue a side hustle, own a business, or are looking for a job - this is the place to be. My inbox has some exciting opportunities and I'm looking forward to what comes my way.

The journey hasn't been easy.

But it's been fun.

And it's happened from the heart.

Even for the LinkedIn Ultimate Content Mastery that I'm working on, I will not go all-out and sell it. Reason being:

Like everything new, it will be imperfect. In the beginning, it'll need lots of feedback to improve.
My style is more intuitive. People want tricks, but I'll revolve it around what works + self-awareness.

This time a year ago, I had 80% fewer followers.

A year of showing up and putting in the work is underrated.
